Making Healthy Changes

Is making healthy changes easy? “It’s not that some people have willpower and some don’t, It’s that some are ready to change and others are not” Quoted by: Carl Sandburg, http://www.steadystrength.com

When I met my husband 5 years ago, I was too skinny, after losing my father.  I weighed a whopping 119 lbs. I was the happiest I had ever been in my life and felt my appetite building stronger, which was good for me.  However, it didn’t take long to pack away my smaller clothes because I was constantly eating.  I thought to lose weight, you were supposed to eat more often so they say. Needless to say, I simply wasn’t eating the right foods, or doing enough to lose some of the 160 lbs I worked my way up to.

I tried many different diets, and of course, I fell into plateaus, and even gained my little weight I had lost back.  Oh, Yes, plus more. Ugggggh! I felt like, maybe I was just at the age in my life that no matter what, I was just going to continue gaining. Maybe my body simply won’t drop it like it’s hot. Have you ever had those thoughts? Might as well give up right? NO!!!! Giving up on yourself is NOT an option!!!! Having an absolutely enough of this nonsense I started doing research on natural ways to Lose Weight! I started coming across many ways, so, which ones to I use?

I started by researching each product I found interesting to see if it would really help me lose the 30 lbs I set out to lose. I also wanted to know how these products would affect my overall health. The more I dug, the more knowledgeable I became.

What are these products? Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar, Coconut Oil, Pink Himalayan Salt, WATER, Tumeric, Ginger, Black Pepper, Organic Chia Seeds, Chai Tea, Black Tea, Raw Honey, and Aloe Vera. Well, now I know all the products, but how do I use them? Can I eat whatever I want and take the products to lose weight? Not entirely.

I start my mornings with 2 Tbs. of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar mixed in 8 oz. of water, followed up with about 8-16 oz. of water. Then I will have my coffee with a little bit of Raw Honey or Agave, very little to no creamer. I didn’t eat breakfast before, but now I love my oatmeat alongside 1-2 Tbs of peanut butter for breakfast, or just fruit depending on how hungry I am.  Either the night before or first thing in the morning, I soak 2 Tbs of Organic Chia Seeds in 14 oz. of water. I drink that before or with my lunch, other days I will drink my premixed Pink Himalayan Salt water.  Lunch time: I usually fix a huge salad, Tuna (mustard base only), Salmon (mustard base only), or a small porptioned meal. We will touch on porptions later.  Then, for supper I will eat whatever we cook, just porpotioned smaller. About 2-3 hours before bed, I drink my Chai Tea followed up with some water, just before I lay down, I will drink my second dose of 1-2 Tbs. of Apple Cider Vinegar followed up with water.

I absolutely feel so much better overall and love watching my weight drop. I only want to lose about 7.5 more pounds from the 30 lb goal I set. Today another .5 lb was gone from yesterday! Yes, it is possible!! When we are truly ready to make a change, we will.

Love Always,

Jess
